Where Our Alumni Work

“This program was like a gift, or a treasure that I found that came to enlighten my life.”

“Of course it has been a tough process and it has had its ups and downs, a LOT of stress, a lot of sleepless nights, a lot of tears, and cussing in my head LOL; BUT it has been worth it so much more than I can express. I can really say that I could have not found a better program or have chosen another degree because I feel like I belong here.”

Tam Cai. IBM Design.

Professional Speaker Series / Graphic Design

Tam is an alum of the Graphic Design Technology program. During his freelance years he worked for companies such as Pepsi Co, Turbo Tax, and Argo. He is currently a Senior Visual Designer with IBM Design in New York City.

Thoughts from a student: "Tam Cai delivered a wonderfully insightful presentation that was packed full of information and advice. Listening to his story and how his career progressed was invaluable and his reflection on his own journey helped me understand how to go about my own future and goals better. The way he broke up his career into sections based on how he was employed was really smart and allowed him to give insight on a ton of different employment environments. For example, he was able to note the contrasting skills he acquired during his first office job and what he learned as a freelancer. Things he learned from both jobs were situational but both important to his success." – Avery

Selena Carter.
UF Health.

Professional Speaker Series / Graphic Design

Selena Carter is an alum of the Graphic Design Technology program and is currently serving as the Creative Director at UF Health. During Selena's visit she shared how she has grown and challenged herself in her career. And relevant to the time we live in, she shared a lot of the behind-the-scenes process of the UF Health Screen, Test, and Protect initiative. We were delighted to learn about the process from her perspective.

Thoughts from a student: "I'm convinced that Selena Carter is actually Wonder Woman. I have been around some extremely ambitious women in my life, and every single time I am floored by the lengths they will go to achieve their goals.” “I think my favorite thing about her talk was her continually reiterating that she set goalposts for herself. She wanted to learn web design so she joined 352 Media. She wanted to learn how to communicate design theory effectively, so she became an instructor. Setting these expectations for herself and making moves toward achieving them is so inspirational." – Nicole

“When all else seemed impossible Santa Fe and this program is proving to give opportunities.”

“This program taught me the skills that I've been desiring to learn for upwards of a decade. Whereas I was looking at expensive big name learning institutions, I couldn't afford them, and so my plans got pushed to stay here and of course I felt I had to learn this craft ASAP so, the most immediate and feasible option was the Santa Fe program.

I say all that to emphasize what a blessing this program and Santa Fe is. When all else seemed impossible Santa Fe and this program is proving to give opportunities. Quite honestly I feel that tech programs should be pushed as a main path to take when starting in adult life and starting anew in your career life. To plainly answer the question, the value that I have found in the program is immeasurable.”
